ABOUT
I’m a 23 year old girl who loves the beach, eating an unhealthy amount of pizza and rewatching Grey’s Anatomy over and over. I’ve been surrounded by back roads and open fields my whole life but, the ocean is where my heart will always be.
Traveling is my biggest passion, I crave the feeling of getting ready and going to the airport to escape to a new place. If you know me, you know that I’m on a plane every couple months for my next adventure but it’s truly what I live and breathe for. I’m such a people person, I love meeting and connecting with new faces.
I’m now a full time travel wedding and elopement photographer and my story goes a little like this – I fell in love with photography when I was 6 years old. My dad got me one of those disposable cameras to take to the beach for my first time and I spent that day taking pictures of every single thing I could find. I remember feeling so free being able to create something through my eyes. After that day up until my sophomore year of high school photography left my mind but then, I got my first camera. I started out shooting landscapes, portraits and sporting events which is what I loved at the time. Then I started working with couples and absolutely fell in love with the idea of capturing two people who are madly in love.
Photography was still just a hobby to me at that point. High school was coming to an end and I had plans to either become a marine biologist or a cosmetologist. I remember neither of those felt fully right and I knew there was something out there that was meant for me, I just couldn’t figure out what it was. One day I was thinking back on memories and my first day at the beach came right back to me. I thought about the way I felt in the moment taking pictures and almost instantly, I knew that I wanted to turn my hobby into a career. I didn’t have to think twice about it. Here I am now, 6 years later with a business of my own documenting love stories.
I want to end with this – if you don’t wake up every day and love what you do with everything in you, then you need to find what sets your soul on fire. When you find out what that is, you take it and run. Do not let anything get in the way of chasing your dreams. I’m so thankful for that day 16 years ago for finding what I love more than anything in this world and because of that, the ocean will always be my home.
